(ANSA) - Rome, May 28 - Television celebrity duo Luciana
Littizzetto and Fabio Fazio are among an all-star cast of
Italian dubbing actors for the American 3D computer-animated
comedy film Minons being produced by Illumination Entertainment
for Universal Pictures, due to be released in Italy on August
27.
Popular satirist and actress Littizzetto will voice the
evil Scarlet Overkill, while television presenter Fazio will dub
her husband Herbert ("Herb") Overkill.
Other famous Italian voices include Italian paleontologist
and presenter of historical and scientific television programmes
Alberto Angela, who will narrate the story of the Minions over
the centuries.
The dubbing cast also features actor and television
personality Riccardo Rossi as the friendly criminal father
figure Walter Nelson, and star blogger Selvaggia Lucarelli as
Madge.
The film, directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, tells
the story of small, yellow creatures called Minions who have
existed since the beginning of time and have only one aim: to
serve history's most despicable villains.
After accidentally destroying all their maters they fall
into depression and so three Minions come up with a plot to find
a new one.
During their travels they encounter the stylish and
ambitious super-villain Scarlet Overkill and compete for the
right to be her henchmen.
Their adventure eventually leads them to London, where they
have to steal the crown of Queen Elizabeth in order to save all
Minions.
