(ANSA) - Rome, April 24 - A monumental apple sculpture by Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto has been donated to the city of Milan for the start of Expo 2015 and will be on display in Piazza Duomo during the first two weeks of May.
The 25-foot-high metal and grass sculpture represents "artifice reintegrated with nature", according to the artist, and is part of Pistoletto's Third Paradise project which he began in 2003.
The sculpture will be on display through May 18 as part of the Milan Expo 2015 inauguration.
