(ANSA) - Paris, March 18 - The Milan Expo represents a "big opportunity" for France too as it will be given the opportunity to showcase its culinary art along with its food industry, said French President François Hollande while unveiling the French Expo Pavilion during a cerimony at the Elysée Palace.
Expo also represents a useful platform for the promotion of tourism and a chance to build diplomatic momentum for the Paris climate conference of 2015. "For six months Milan will be the largest farm and the largest kitchen of the world" pointed out Hollande adding that France should rise to the occasion and honour its standing as a European agricultural power. The ultra-modern wooden French Pavilion would be a testament "to all the best France has to offer", said Hollande, confirming Paris' candidacy to the universal exhibition of 2025.
A restaurant and a boulangerie (a French bakery), serving croissants and baguettes seven days out of seven for 22 hours a day, will be among the attractions of the French pavilion.
