(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 3 - A 'ski mountaineer' from Valle d'Aosta
was found dead on Friday on Mount Paramont, a peak of 3,301
metres, in the La Salle area in Valle d'Aosta.
His family members raised the alarm when he failed to return,
which was planned for the morning. The man, who was skiing
alone, probably fell.
The search began in the early afternoon. The Aosta Valley Alpine
Rescue Service was on the scene by helicopter. Recognition
operations are entrusted to the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di
Finanza. (ANSA).
