(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 3 - Some 98 people were sent to trial in
January over fake COVID-19 green passes issued by a doctor at
Marina di Ravenna during the pandemic Friday.
Overall, 226 people had been probed for the fake vaccinations
carried out by doctor Mauro Passarini in the northeastern
Italian coastal town.
Some 24 were sentences after a fast-track trial to terms between
eight and 12 months, 17 were cleared and the others chose to
plea bargain lesser sentences.
