(ANSA) - ROME, APR 30 - Perugia prosecutors said Tuesday they will open a fentanyl probe after the synthetic 'zombie drug' that has ravaged the US and which is now appearing in Europe was found cut into a dose of heroin near the Umbrian capital a few weeks ago.
The Perugia public prosecutor's office will open an investigation after an alert was raised over the presence of fentanyl found as a cutting agent in a dose of heroin seized a few weeks ago, Prosecutor Raffaele Cantone told ANSA.
"I am concerned about what is emerging in these hours," Cantone said, "and I want to try to understand if this is a sporadic event or if there are similar episodes." (ANSA).
