(ANSA) - ROME, APR 10 - The higher education offered by
Italy's university system is the seventh best in the world and
the second-best in the EU, according to the 14th university
ranking compiled by QS.
At the global level, Italy ranked behind only the United States,
the United Kingdom, China, Germany, Australia and Canada.
Rome's La Sapienza maintained the top spot for classics and
ancient history.
The medicine department at Milan University was also among the
Italian centres of excellence. (ANSA).
