(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 25 - In 2023 8.5% of resident households
in Italy were living in absolute poverty, corresponding to
around 5.7 million individuals, according to preliminary
estimates released by ISTAT on Monday.
This represents a 9.8% share of the total population, stable
with respect to the 9.7% share recorded in 2022, added the
national statistics institute. (ANSA).
