(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 16 - Italians will spend one billion euros
to travel and eat more this Easter, consumer group Assoutenti
said Saturday.
Overall spending will come in at around 2.2 billion euros, it
said.
Food prices are up 4% on last year, with peaks of 46.2% for
olive oil and 11.1% for fresh fruit, Assoutenti said.
Typical Easter food like lamb, goat or salumi are up 3.8% in
price.
Train fares are up 5.9% and air fares up 13%.
Hotel prices have risen by 6.9%. (ANSA).
