(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 8 - A 53-year-old Sardinian woman has gone from her hospital bed with a severe case of COVID-19 three years ago to trucker of the year for her firm this year after getting her HGV license two years ago.
Palmira Mura, originally from Guspini in southern Sardegna, and resident at Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna, has just got the award from the Roberto Nuti Group.
"I've always wanted to be a lorry driver, ever since an old boyfriend got me into his truck, and I never gave up the dream even after getting married, having four kids, and making a living as a socio-health operator," she said on Friday, International Women's Day. (ANSA).
