(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 16 - Seven members of Italy's Ultima
Generazione (UG - Last Generation) group have been reported to
criminal prosecutors for spraying paint over Milan's Arco della
Pace ("Arch of Peace") monument on Wednesday.
It was the latest in a long series of controversial acts of
civil disobedience the group has staged to highlight the need to
combat the climate crisis, blocking roads and pouring
easy-to-wash-off paint over the protective shields of artworks
and other monuments.
The seven protestors were aged between 19 and 42. (ANSA).
