(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 8 - Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister
Antonio Tajani on Thursday expressed solidarity with France over
the brutal knife attack in a park in the southeastern town of
Annecy in which four children and an adult were wounded.
"I join the grief of the families of the victims of the brutal
attack in Annecy," said Tajani on Twitter.
"I pray for their health. I express solidarity with France on
behalf of the Italian government. We need the utmost firmness in
the face of such violence," he added.
The knife attack was carried out by a 31-year-old Syrian asylum
seeker, according to local media reports.
Three of the victims were said to be in a serious condition.
