Migrant sea rescue a duty, Mattarella tells navy

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 8 - In a message to top navy officials on Thursday, President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella highlighted the "dutiful and worthy" work of the port authorities in rescuing migrants and refugees in distress at sea.
    "I would like to emphasize the valuable work of the Port Authorities, with the daily and tenacious efforts to control migratory phenomena by sea, and with the dutiful and worthy rescue of migrants in distress at sea," said Mattarella ahead of Italian Navy Day on June 10. (ANSA).
