(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 1 - Speranza Scappucci will become the
first woman to conduct a concert at the Quirinale presidential
palace in Rome when on Thursday evening she leads the Orchestra
Sinfonica Nazionale of state broadcaster Rai in the traditional
concert in honour of the diplomatic corps accredited with the
Italian state on the occasion of Republic Day Friday.
The concert will take place shortly before President Sergio
Mattarella receives the corps in the palace's sumptuous and
celebrated gardens. (ANSA).
