(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 31 - The number of private hospitals in
Italy almost doubled between 2011 and 2021, rising from 525 to
995, independent health foundation GIMBE reported Friday.
GIMBE issued an appeal to "stem the uncontrolled expansion" of
the private sector in Italian health care. (ANSA).
