Criminal shield for evasion 'unacceptable' - Misiani

(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 29 - Antonio Misiani of the opposition, centre-left Democratic Party (PD) said on Wednesday a criminal shield against tax evaders included in a decree helping people with their energy bills was "unacceptable".
    "The criminal shield for tax evaders inserted by the Meloni government in the decree law at the last second is unacceptable," tweeted Misiani.
    "In substance, it is yet another amnesty. In (terms of) method, it has no requirement of necessity and urgency. The government should remove it," he concluded.
    The government on Tuesday approved a decree including measures to support families and businesses against high bills and interventions in favour of the health sector, with a resource allocation of EUR 4.9 billion. (ANSA).
