Online success for comic strip featuring influencer priest

(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 27 - A comic strip featuring Brindisi 'influencer' priest Don Cosimo Schena and his dogs Tempesta and Baloo has clocked up over 100,000 online readers in just a week, according to a statement issued Monday.
    The brainchild of a catechist at Don Cosimo's church, the comic strip aims "to do catechism in a different way" and "to raise awareness of love and respect for animals", the statement said.
    In the story, Don Cosimo aka Don Smemorino arrives in a town he doesn't know and restores a church that had been reduced to rubble.
    Don Cosimo is active on social media and as a poet in the fight against animal abandonment. (ANSA).
