(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 25 - Education and Merit Minister Giuseppe Valditara said Saturday that the state should be a civil party in legal proceedings for violence against teachers to protect the image of the educational mission of school.
"If someone stands up and punches a teacher I will propose that the ministry become a civil party in the criminal trial," said the right-wing League minister speaking at his party's political training school in Milan.
In this way, attackers "will not only face the teacher but also the state in order to pay for the damage to the image of the educational mission of the school," he said. (ANSA).
