(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 8 - Five young people have been detained
and are accused of attempted homicide for allegedly throwing
from high a rental electric bicycle that hit and seriously
injured a 23-year-old man as he was walking by the River Po in
Turin last month.
Two of the suspects are 18, while the other three are minors
aged between 15 and 17.
Four of them have a criminal record.
The victim, a 23-year-old from Palermo, is still in the
intensive-care unit of Turin's CTO hospital after suffering head
injuries.
Carabinieri police managed to track down the suspects by
examining dozens of hours of footage from over 120
video-surveillance cameras and the accounts of many young people
who witnessed what happened. (ANSA).
