(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 30 - Some five cars were set on fire in Rome Monday in the latest attack in support of jailed anarchist leader Alfredo Cospito and his life-threatening hunger strike against the tough 41 bis mafia style jail regime he has become the first anarchist to be subjected to.
There has been a wave of attacks in Italy and abroad in support of Cospito, 55, prompting prison authorities to order his transfer from Sardinia to an ICU unit in Milan's Opera Prison on Monday.
The five torched cars were bearing the logo of telecoms giant TIM and were outside the Telecom Italia HQ in Rome.
Graffiti against 41 bis were found nearby. (ANSA).
