(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 13 - Five Nigerian nationals - three men and two women - were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly 'enslaving' young women from their homeland, subjecting them to violence and extortion involving voodoo rituals and forcing them into prostitution, police in the northern city of Lodi said.
During the probe that led to the arrests, investigators found that four victims were being made to do sex work and give all that they earned to the gang.
The gang alleged identified poor women it wanted to exploit at refugee camps in Libya and then had them brought over to northern Italy. (ANSA).
