(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 6 - A 25-year-old Italian man is in a coma
in a London hospital after being attacked outside a Brixton pub
on Friday night, sources told an Italian daily Tuesday.
Marco Pannone, from Fondi between Rome and Naples, was the
victim of a beating and is now in an intensive care ward at
King's College Hospital, the Leggo newspaper reported.
He is in a coma after undergoing a delicate operation on his
head.
Pannone, who moved to London six years ago, was found on the
ground behind the pub.
A friend of his told his family about the incident via Facebook.
"We can't get information, it's absurd," his uncle complained to
Leggo.
"Is it possible that there were no cameras inside or outside the
establishment?
"Why is no one helping us? We've been completely abandoned, also
by the Italian institutions. We have asked for help from the
consulate too, and an interpreter because we don't speak the
language". (ANSA).
