(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 5 - A 30-something migrant was knocked off his bike and decapitated by a guardrail by a car at Castel Volturno north of Naples on Monday, local sources said.
The motorist stopped with the intention of offering assistance, but could only put the man's head back with the rest of his body.
Other parts of his body were also found on the other side of the barrier, police said.
The accident happened on the Domiziana state highway shortly before the exit for Ischitella, at a point in which the road is like a super highway, with two carriageways separated by a guardrail.
The victim was hit full-on by the driver's Fiat Tipo, police said.
The victim may have swerved into the path of the car but police are unsure because it has been hard to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident given the state of the body. (ANSA).
