(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 29 - Dalila Procopio, a 25-year-old
Italian woman arrested in Istanbul during a feminist march on
Friday, is set to be expelled from Turkey, the Mor Dayanisma
women's group said on Tuesday.
The association added that Procopio has been taken to a
repatriation centre and issued with an order not to return to
Turkey.
She was held and taken to a police barracks along with around
100 activists after taking part in a march for the International
Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which had
been banned by the local prefect.
The woman had reportedly been staying in Istanbul since
September on a tourist visa having previously spent time in
Turkey as an Erasmus student. (ANSA).
