(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 29 - A conviction for mafia association
was upheld as a Rome appeals court re-convicted some 40 members
of the Casamonica Roman criminal clan on Tuesday.
The court again ruled that the clan formed a mafia association
on the east side of the capital.
Defendants were accused of crimes including extortion, usury and
illegal possession of weapons. (ANSA).
