Migrant solution is cooperation says French envoy

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 15 - The solution to the migrant crisis lies in cooperation at a bilateral and EU level, French Ambassador to Italy Christian Masset said after a diplomatic spat over a migrant ship that ended up in France Tuesday.
    "The French President of the Republic (Emmanuel Macron) and the Italian President (Sergio Mattarella) spoke to each other (on the phone Monday) and reaffirmed the importance of our relationship", said Masset in Perugia.
    "There is a moment of tension on the issue of immigration - he added - but even if it is a complex problem it is clear and simple that the solution is in cooperation, which means "solidarity, responsibility and respect for the law. And as our heads of state have said, we must find all the conditions to have full cooperation in the bilateral context as well as in the EU ". (ANSA).
