(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 11 - Some 30 people were poisoned, three
seriously, by a leak of chemical substances near Verbania in
northern Italy on Friday.
The three were hospitalized in serious condition at the hospital
of Verbania following the leak of chemicals that took place in
the afternoon at the plant of the Galvanoplast company in
Gravellona Toce (Verbano-Cusio-Ossola).
Another 23 people will undergo health checks.
The causes of the accident, which occurred in the company
specialized in the chrome plating of plastic materials, are
being investigated.
Carabinieri, police, firefighters and Spresals personnel
intervened on the spot. (ANSA).
