(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 10 - Ex Vatican chief auditor Libero Milone on Thursday said he was suing the Holy See for 9.3 million euros in damages for its sacking them for allegedly spying on authorities in the tiny city-state.
His former assistant Ferruccio Panicco said he was supporting the compensation for unjustified dismissal claim, which amounts to a total of 9,278,000 euros.
The two officials were removed from office in June 2017, two years after Milone was appointed.
"In recent days we have filed documents with the Tribunal of the Vatican State with the intention of clarifying what happened to us and to obtain a just compensation for the damage suffered", they said. (ANSA).
