(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 31 - A shocking video began circulating on
social media Monday of a homeless man being kicked in the face
by a group of youths in Rome.
In the video, the gang surround the middle-aged semi-naked man
and kick him in the face in Piazza Trilussa in Trestevere, one
of the focal points of Rome's youth street nightlife known as
'movida'.
A witness said "they spat on him and then started assaulting
him, it was a mad night".
The Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, which heads the national
government with Premier Giorgia Meloni, said Rome, which is
currently run by the centre-left Democratic Party (PD), "is now
abandoned, left to its own devices". (ANSA).
