COVID: 24,855 new cases, 80 more victims

Positivity rate up from 10.3% to 12.2%

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 6 - There have been 24,855 new cases of COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 80 more victims with the virus, the health ministry said Tuesday.
    That compares to 6,610 new cases and 40 more victims Monday.
    Some 202,240 more tests have been done, compared to 63,822 Monday.
    The positivity rate is up from 10.3% to 12.2%.
    Intensive care cases are steady at 185 and hospital admissions down 107 to 4,459.
    The currently positive are 571,344, down 18,116 on Monday.
    The recovered and discharged are 21,222,429 (+42,884).
    The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 21,969,725, and the death toll 175,952. (ANSA).
