Woman arrested for trying to kill ex, his wife

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 26 - A 37-year-old Dominican woman was arrested in Catania Friday on suspicion of trying to kill her ex boyfriend and his wife at the end of July.
    The woman, Ismaela Payano Pichardo, allegedly stabbed the couple in the carpark of a nightspot in the Sicilian city.
    She was arrested for illegally bearing arms and attempted double homicide.
    Pichardo allegedly lay in wait for the couple and attacked them as soon as they got out of the club, police said.
    Police said she acted out of jealousy, and anger at the end of the relationship.
    She first stabbed the love rival, "stabbed through the chest with a pen knife", police said.
    "She then attacked her ex and left the knife sticking out of his stomach," they said.
    She was taken into custody in a Catania jail. (ANSA).
