(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 16 - A part-time traffic cop was punched
and kicked after she gave out an 18-euro parking fine near
Salerno at the weekend.
The incident happened at Palinuro, a noted seaside town in the
Cilento area of Campania.
The official, a 'traffic auxiliary', was attacked by a husband
and wife.
After attacking the woman, they ran off and were unable to be
located.
The official suffered bruising to her face and body.
She filed a report against person or persons unknown.
Police are trying to track down her alleged assailants. (ANSA).
