Man, 87, hit by bus and killed in Bari

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 11 - An 87-year-old Italian man was hit by a bus and killed in Bari in Puglia on Thursday morning.
    The pensioner was crossing the street when the bus crashed into him after a bend between via Capruzzi and viale Ennio, local sources said.
    He was rushed to the nearby Policlinico Hospital in critical condition, and died of his injuries shortly after.
    The bus driver suffered shock and was taken to the Puglia capital's Mater Dei Hospital.
    Police are trying to reconstruct the dynamic of the accident.
    An autopsy has been ordered.
    The victim was initially reported to have been a woman. (ANSA).
