Disabled woman dies in house fire in Calabria

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 10 - A 76-year-old disabled woman died in a house fire in Calabria on Wednesday.
    The woman died in her flat at Bianco in the Locride region after a fire broke out accidentally and spread from the kitchen.
    Her body was found in the kitchen, where she habitually slept.
    She was said to be physically disabled.
    A relative and carer who lived with her was unable to help her due to the speed with which the fire spread.
    No other apartment in the six-storey building was damaged by the blaze.
    An emergency team rushed to the scene but were unable to do anything for the victim.
    An autopsy has been ordered.
    Police said there was no doubt the case was an accident. (ANSA).
