(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 4 - A 52-year-old anaesthetist from
Saronno, in the northern province of Varese, has been arrested
by Carabinieri police for allegedly drugging and raping a woman
he had had a brief relationship with, daily newspaper Il Giorno
reported on Thursday.
The suspect is the head of the anaesthetics-and-intensive-care
unit of a clinic in Como, the report said.
The alleged sexual violence reportedly took place at the
anaesthetist's home early in July. (ANSA).
