(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 23 - A 43-year-old farmer from Beregardo
near Pavia has been cited for twice tampering with the run-off
mechanism of a local canal to get more water for his land amid a
'war' sparked by the severe drought gripping northern Italy.
The man has been cited for theft and damages. (ANSA).
