(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 22 - Six billion euros of public money was
lost to fraud and waste between January 1 2021 and May 31 this
year, the Italian tax police said Wednesday.
In all, the Guardia di Finanza cited 45,700 people in fraud and
waste cases in that period.
The damage to the public purse was estimated at 3.5 billion
euros. (ANSA).
