Michelin-starred chef in coma after bike crash

Former professional cyclist Christian Milone hit car in Piedmont

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 8 - A 43-year-old Italian Michelin-starred chef is in a drug-induced coma after suffering severe head injuries after his bicycle crashed into a car at Pinerolo near Turin Tuesday night.
    Christian Milone has been cooking at Pinerolo's Trattoria Zappatori since 2006 and helped it earn its single Michelin star.
    He has been a cycling enthusiast since he was a young man and had a career in professional cycling.
    He is in the intensive care ward of Turin's CTO Hospital.
    Doctors have said they do not yet know how long it will take him to recover. (ANSA).
