Pope calls for quick end to Ukraine war

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 31 - Pope Francis on Tuesday called for a quick end to the Ukraine war.
    Appealing to the Madonna while opening the Rosary of Peace in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore (St Mary Major), Francis said "may You grant the great gift of peace, let war end soon, which now has been raging for decades in various parts of the world, and which has now invaded the European continent."
