Ukraine: Italy peace plan detached from reality says Moscow

Haven't got copy yet but can comment from media reports

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 25 - Italy's peace plan for Ukraine is so detached from reality that it is hard to take it seriously, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told TASS Wednesday.
She said Rome had not yet sent Moscow the plan but could comment on reports of its content.
Italy's four-stage plan would feature a ceasefire, talks on Ukraine's 'international status', i.e. whether it is neutral, a bilateral agreement between Kyiv and Moscow on the contested areas of Crimea and Donbass, and a multilateral agreement on peace and security in Europe.
"They haven't sent us anything from Rome but from what we read in the media the Italian proposals are so detached from reality that in principle it is difficult for them to be taken seriously", said Zakharova.
The plan, she told Interfax, "may serve as an example of what you might call 'an office theory'.
"There are ideas, but in practice they have not been verified in any way, and there isn't even a connection with the situation on the ground". (ANSA).
