(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 18 - Italian police on Wednesday made
seven arrest in a probe into the suspected Mafia infiltration of
authorities in two towns near Messina in Sicily.
Among those arrested were the mayor and deputy mayor of Moio
Alcantara and the former public works councillor of Malvagna.
Police said the Mafia had infiltrated the administrative bodies
of the two Sicilian Ionian coast towns.
Police said Cosa Nostra bosses gave orders to officials from
prison. (ANSA).
