(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 3 - The head of a Rome non-profit migrant reception centre was cleared of favouring illegal immigration on Tuesday.
Andrea Costa, president of the Baobab Experience non-profit, was acquitted "because the crime was non-existent", a preliminary hearings judge said.
Another two Baobab employees were also cleared.
Baobab is a charity that helps migrants who are transiting through Rome.
Prosecutors had asked for the charges against the three to be dropped.
