(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 25 - Italian consumer confidence has sunk
to its lowest level since January 2021, ISTAT said Friday.
In March, it is estimated to have dropped from 112.4 to 100.8,
the stats agency said.
Business confidence showed a less sharp drop, from 107.9 to
105.4.
ISTAT said the fall in consumer confidence "is essentially due
to the strong deterioration of expectations both on the
country's economic situation and on the personal one, as well as
increase in expectations on unemployment". (ANSA).
