(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 16 - Italy has made the world's first
robot avatar for the metaverse, an evolution of its iCub, a
humanoid robot built by the Italian Institute of Technology
(IIT).
Called iCub3, the avatar debuted in a remote tourism test in a
'tele-existence' experiment at a distance of 300 km, from IIT
labs in Genoa to Pavilion 17 of the Venice Biennale architecture
show, enabling the operator to see the works on display in an
immersive way. (ANSA).
