Italy's GDP rose 6.6% in 2021

(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 1 - Italy's GDP rose by 6.6% in 2021 with respect to the previous year, ISTAT said on Tuesday.
    The national statistics agency said that "the Italian economy registered growth of exception intensity due to the strong recovery of productive activity after a 2020 characterized by the effects of the health emergency".
    It said domestic demand was the driving force of the increase.
    Italy's GDP dropped by 8.9% in 2020. (ANSA).
