Climate: Mildest, driest winter in southern Alps since 1864

Temperature 1.8 °C above average says MeteoSwiss

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 22 - This has been the mildest and driest winter on the southern side of the Alps since 1864, the year records began, the Swiss Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology, MeteoSwiss, said on Tuesday.
    It said this winter will end with an average temperature that is 1.8 °C above the average for 1991-2020, while the total level precipitation has been less than a quarter of the normal value, 22% to be precise. (ANSA).
