(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 17 - Italian police on Thursday arrested
three 20-year-old Italian men on suspicion of beating and raping
a 40-year-old woman they had met in a night spot at San Giovanni
Rotondo in Puglia on January 27.
The trio are accused of getting the woman to get into their car,
raping her, and then driving to an isolated spot where they
raped her again and punched and kicked her.
Two of the men are from San Giovanni Rotondo and one is from San
Marco in Lamis, near Foggia.
They were identified after the alleged victim reported them.
Carabinieri are investigating. (ANSA).
