(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 27 - A thief lost a finger in a fall from
a barbed-wire fence around a Milan recycling plant Wednesday
night and sent a friend to recover it on Thursday, police said.
The friend gave up after realising police would be suspicious
and the right ring finger, complete with a wedding ring, is now
waiting for someone to claim it in a police morgue.
Police are also trying to ID the fingerless owner on their
computer files. (ANSA).
