Worker dies after building site plunge

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 26 - A 41-year-old Brazilian worker die after falling from scaffolding at a building site in Turin, the latest in a shocking spate of workplace accident deaths in Italy.
    The man was taken to hospital in critical condition but died soon after arrival.
    A 51-year-old worker died in an accident near Arezzo, and a lumberjack in Alto Adige, on Monday, while a man was hurt in an accident near Grosseto.
    A few days ago an 18-year-old student died near Udine on his last day of work experience.
    The government has hired more safety inspectors and boosted norms to tr to stop the rash of deaths, to no avail. (ANSA).
