COVID ward occupancy steady nationwide but up in 12 regions

ICU occupancy stable at 17%, seven regions over 20%

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 25 - COVID general hospital ward occupancy is steady at 30% in Italy but it is up in 12 regions, the regional health service agency AGENAS said in its daily update Tuesday.
    It is up in Abruzzo (32%), Emilia Romagna (29%), Friuli (36%), Lazio (32%), Lombardy (33%), Marche (29%), Molise (11%), province of Bolzano (22%), province of Trento (28%), Puglia (25%), Tuscany (27%) and Val d'Aosta (57%).
    It has fallen in just two regions, Liguria (40%) and Veneto (24%).
    It is steady in Basilicata (25%), Calabria (40%), Campania (31%), Piedmont (31%), Sardinia (18%), Sicily (38%), and Umbria (29%).
    Ten regions are above the 30% threshold: Abruzzo, Campania, Calabria, Friuli, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Sicily, and Val d'Aosta.
    Nationwide ICU COVID occupancy is stable at 17%, and seven regions are over 20%, AGENAS added.
    They are: Trento (27%), Piedmont (24%), Friuli and Toscana (22%), Lazio, Marche and Val d'Aosta (21%).
    The daily rate is down in four regions: Lazio (21%), province of Bolzano(17%), Piedmont (24%), and Puglia(13%).
    But is it up in another four: Basilicata (8%), province of Trento (27%), Tuscany (22%), and Veneto (17%).
    It is stable in Abruzzo (20%), Calabria (16%), Campania (12%), Emilia Romagna (17%), Friuli (22%), Liguria (18%), Lombardy (15%), Marche (21%), Molise (5%), Sardinia (15%), Sicily (19%), Umbria (9%), and Val d'Aosta (21%).
